KITS

A kit is the name of the collection of parts that are to be assembled into an enclosure or used together as a part of an enclosure.

A list of the parts, with the quantity of each, is called a bill of material (BOM)

To assemble a GrayBox enclosure there are generally 6 parts or panels that are fastened together using screws (16).

TAILORING

How a MicroPak or GrayBox enclosure becomes a part of your product

The first step is to choose an enclosure family, GrayBox or MicroPak, and then a style within the family. The next step is tailoring. Making sure that all functional elements fit comfortably in the enclosure. High enough, wide enough, and deep enough. Does each panel have the apertures needed for controls and displays?

Adding graphics and color can create the device personality details that you want. This is all a part of the tailoring process.

When you have finished tailoring, Lansing can produce your ready-to-assemble enclosures at a reasonable cost.
