GrayBox and MicroPak enclosures platforms are engineered to fit standard 19″ rack systems. Rigid aluminum construction adds strength, thermal stability, and EMI/RFI shielding; modular panels support service access and configuration to your application. Starting from a standardized GrayBox and MicroPak rackmount platform means:
- Lower engineering effort — the structural design is already tested and manufacturing-proven
- Faster turnaround than ground-up fabrication
- Lower total cost — Lansing purchases extruded aluminum in volume, so individual customers don’t carry that sourcing cost

Shop Rackmount Enclosures
Three native GrayBox rackmount styles, plus mountable MicroPak styles with a rackmount accessory kit.
GrayBox: GrayBox rackmount chassis and enclosures provide a rugged, modular foundation for full, half, and quarter rack size electronic instruments and systems. Available in three styles with rack-mounted and free-standing options, they combine durable aluminum construction with configurable dimensions, panels, covers, ventilation, finishes, and mounting accessories.
MicroPak: MicroPak PCB chassis provide compact, durable housing for printed circuit boards and small electronic assemblies. Available in three extruded aluminum styles, they support integrated PCB mounting, flexible panel configurations, and desktop, handheld, surface-mounted, or rackmounted applications using a separate rackmount panel.

GrayBox A-Style
- Exclusively for rackmounted applications
- Rack mounting integrated into the front panel
- 18 standard sizes: 1U-2U heights; Full/Half/Quarter rack widths; 9 depths from 6″ to 22″ (two-inch increments)
- 3 front panel designs: flush, grooved, and flanged
- Removable top panel for access; captive bottom panel for rigidity
GrayBox B-Style
- Widest range of sizes; suited to larger enclosure requirements
- Versatile design for free-standing or rackmount applications
- Optional rack-mount accessories, all sizes
- 81 standard sizes: 1U-2U-3U heights, Full/Half/Quarter rack widths, 9 depths from 6″ to 22″ (two-inch increments)
- Removable top and bottom panels for access
GrayBox P-Style
- Most rigid design; works as both free-standing and rack-mount
- Optional rack-mount accessories for all sizes
- Available at 1U and 2U heights
- Multiple width and depths available
- Allows for captive top & bottom panels for increased rigidity and shielding
- Optional rear panel design allows a slide-in top-cover for ease of access
MicroPak PCB Chassis – Styles C – D – E + Rackmount Accessory Kit
- All C-, D-, and E-Style MicroPak enclosures can be integrated into a standard 19″ rack using a rackmount panel accessory
- 23 standard rackmount panel configurations, across 4 enclosure widths (N, Q, T, W)
- Custom blank panels available for non-standard interfaces or coupling with another MicroPak size
- PCB chassis – Best fit when build starts at the board level and only occasionally needs rack integration
